Rashid,

Sold CIEN 9 3/16. Put sell order in as soon as buy was confirmed. Was yesterdays low and todays support on the downleg. Figured it would retrace to that level if any buying came in. I don't have level 2 for the NAZ, but do run a tick chart and time and sales. I watch to see a bottom put in and get retested on CIEN and also for some blocks to be absorbed in the selling, would possibly show a lessening of pressure. I trade a lot more on the NYSE and will probably not get level 2 until I get my new system around the begining of the year. NYSE and Amex show the specialist bid,ask and size. Any thoughts on the internuts? SI not working too good today, a lot of freaking out.

Good Trading

Dave

Rashid, sometimes the bid thins out when a stock is moving up because buyers are hitting the asked -- those left on the bid don't get printed.

buildup on the bid (or ask) is a good indicator of a new move up (or down) after a stall.

The Electronic Day Trader is a great book which explains all this stuff. I believe you will benefit greatly from reading it. Good trading.
