D - I shorted KRB again. Hehe....

Pete - not just the evil tower coming down, its cousins all over the land are crumbling as well. Must be the sudden perception that all capital spending by the techs will be squeezed going forward, duh! If CSCO, LU and all high spenders reduce their budget for capital spending, guess what? Haven't we seen this all before like when the big oils tightened their purse string and all drillers got to go stacking?

ASA, ABX, AU, ABC, look at all of them go. No fooling around with short term trading. This is a significant ride up.

The SI switchboard is screwed up. Must be too many messages written asking why???

Diamond,

no i actually did sell it......i began getting worried about it with the bank of england rumors....and then the crazy rally in japan, usd, silver failing to keep up.... but the article below was the final nail in the coffin...

Bin Laden 'Now Has Nuclear Arsenal'
(London Times, October 7, 1998)
Saudi exile Osama bin Laden, accused of masterminding terrorist bombings of two American embassies in Africa, has acquired tactical nuclear weapons from former Soviet republics in Central Asia, according to a report in a London-based Arabic
newspaper.

it just did not feel right....i still have a silver position, on which i was more bullish in the first place.....and also added debeers (one of MB's recommendations) and probably your favorite....maybe these two can play catch-up...i hope they can hedge my decision...well now i see gold is going up again....c'est la vie

good luck,
j
