AMD has a low market share compared with Intel. AMD mostly serves the low end sub-1000 PC market, mostly the consumer side.

Maybe for sub-799 section of the market. Dell doesn't compete in that segment.

Professor, I am now a believer that Dell is going to trade in the 40's. With respect to AMD, I think their forward looking statements were very positive. However, I believe the Street now believes that negative economic conditions are going to exist throughout 1999 and into 2000. Given this, Dell's high pe is going to be cut way back...as we have seen happening over the past several weeks.
