1% yield on the 400 Mhz K6-2. Hmmm. I wonder how good his information is. Oh well, screw him. Get your Oct $17.5 options while they're cheap. We have the Microprocessor Forum and new major desktop and laptop OEM announcements before expiration. Good luck to those of you who still have any cash to buy them. All my cash is going to margin calls!

Pravin.

Kumar is even more stupid that Kurlak...
RE:" But Kumar said in a note to clients ''We believe that the low
yields at 400 megahertz will push out the launch date of this
product from the fourth quarter to the first
quarter.''

Kumar said he believes that Advanced Micro is currently
experiencing manufacturing yields of less than one percent on
this new K6-2 chip -- meaning that less than
one percent are shippable to customers."

Joey,

Interesting comments from Kumar. I don't own any AMD, but if what Kumar said is false, then AMD should rebut Kumar's remarks. They owe it to investors IMO.

Kumar said he believes that Advanced Micro is currently experiencing manufacturing yields of less than one percent on this new K6-2 chip -- meaning that less than one percent are shippable to customers.

If true, that should bode well for INTC.

Dale

Joey, >>>Maxwell, Kumar is to AMD as Kurlak is to Intel. Check out this article. Will
explain why AMD is down today. K6-2 reportedly still having yield problems...I
wonder if Jerry is putting one over on AMD investors???<<<

He mentioned the magic word. Hint, rhymes with field.
