Zoltan,

Now, now, accusing me a lying is little over-the-top. So I'm a liar for (1) referring to GWU law students as "his students" and (2) referring to them in the plural, "students," because there were only two of them. I hope the House Republicans have a stronger case against Clinton than the one that you're making against me.

In any event, I defy you to find any single person in the law who would call Turley "esteemed." Let me be clear: I don't care what Turley says; I don't care whether he agrees with me or not. I have a problem with people who go on TV and pretend to be experts (I threw out Michael Beschloss's name as a liberal, FOB example). I am not part of any effort to nail Clinton-critics; I hated Turley and Paul Rothstein long before the Lewinsky scandal ever broke. (Rothstein is well-known for making his way down to the Supreme Court on the day of important cases being argued and sidling up to the open mike to give his unasked for opinion.) I don't mind people like Stuart Taylor who have far more harsh things to say about Clinton, but who come after them because they mean it--not because it's a way for them to get on TV. Turley is a media whore, an embarrassment to his school and colleagues, and a narcissistic mouthpiece.

Doughboy.
