We now have to call you bravedog, or slydog in honor of the trade. My hat is off to you.

rudedog - I pulled one on Uncle Sam today too. I had bought 1,000 CSCO @61, and another 1,000 @46. Today I wanted to buy my final 1,000 @43. So instead I bought 2,000. I will sell 1,000 before the end of the week, and use the basis of the first 1,000 I bought @61 to take a tax loss, and still have the 3,000 CSCO I wanted to hold long-term - with no real loss and a basis of 50. I'll save ~6,000 in taxes, which will lower the basis to 48. Still under water, but I feel great about it long-term.
