Nonsense. If you want to short BB stocks in the States, you can. WW assembled an interesting group of posts about this at Cav's thread. Your problem is that margin requirements will be INSANE, unless you're a trading firm.

And who said the stock was shorted in Canada? And who said that at that time it was restricted? AND--let's not forget that in some cases the whole POINT of hiring someone like Andy Mann to take shares offshore is precisely to short 'em.
