Actually, about 3 months ago, Brinker was calling for new highs in Q4 this year -- his "rationale" being that investors would by then start looking at the future, i.e. the 1999 earnings scene, instead of at 1998 earnings, and would therefore take the market higher.

Now we have come to a stage where investors are sh*t scared to look to the future!

Yes, the Mr. Flip Flop comment might be hurting right now. And I think MMV is right -- it is the utter lack of humility and the complete irreverence towards the market that causes this.
