Which trend is that. Short term, long term, mid term...
What happened when the XAU went to 50 was the dumping of Gold stocks in the XAU. The producers than changed their hedged positions, sold their Puts, forwards. Bought the spot, road Gold up. And started writing calls. They created the bull run in Gold, by taking in account the dollar weakness. Thus creating shareholder value, far be it, temporary. Nothing changed, gold is still over valued. But the producer/hedger have a different hedge perspective.

Remeber I predicted the XAU wash out three weeks prior to it occurring
AUG 7. and got the date correct. {even thou it did go below my level}
