In addition to Shane's excellent comments, I'd like to add that AMD has traded in a range of 12 3/4 to 21 over the past five weeks. It closed near 20 when they released their earnings, near the top of the range. MOT, which is holding it's gains better than AMD has traded in a range of 38 to 49 over the past five weeks. It was trading at about 38 1/2 when they released their earnings, at the bottom end of the range. This is why I think MOT is holding it's gains better. The better than expected earnings were already discounted in AMD but they weren't discounted in MOT.

AMD came down to it's lower daily bollinger band today and looks like a good buy at 15 3/4. I would probably bail if it trades below 15 1/8.
