The commentary by Armstrong was one of the most comprehensive I've seen, to a layman like me, makes more sense when one considers economic events from the late '70s thru current. I can't say his history of events are generally accepted or not because I haven't seen any treatise that put forth the details as he has.

It was the portion about him being an advisor to the Chinese government that really caught my attention. He advised them to do exactly the opposite of what the US and the IMF were recommending. China chose to follow his advice and it has saved them much of the instability of the other emerging markets.

One sharp economist IMO, but I too would be interested in comments from more knowledgeable members of the thread.
