I received a brief call from an attendee early Tuesday (10-7-98) re: the Lanier booth at the show. She was attempting to get near the Lanier booth but the crowds surrounding it and their 50 seat theater (always filled & people standing in line for the next show) for a 30' show gave her only a comment from aother attendee who did see the 30' video. Ten minutes of the 30' video were about NCI's product. That attendee said they showed a whole series of products called the Sequence Line, which surpassed anything shown by Dictaphone. Dictaphone's comparable dictation portable product also becomes very large and cumbersome because it has an add-on bar scanner and keypad, which makes it very difficult to carry and hold. I hope to hear more in next 72 hours. Her impression was that Lanier eclipsed anyone at the show with similar systems and that she was bringing her customers back to Lanier's booth. A Lanier sales rep did tell her that in next 48-72 hours their web site would show their new product line. I hope either Lanier or NCI will have more to say about the show and what it could mean for future orders. It's very reassuring to hear what the trade has to say about our customers and the products NCI delivers to them. Best to aLL:
