You didn't ask me, but here is my response.

I use MBT, and I find their Level II response to be slow. No problem with their order entry screens, but I have to take my prices from ABWatley to be up to the second.

Craig.
Yes I use MBT. Their service over the past few months has improved significantly as they have been upgrading their systems due to an increase in customers. You still get the occasional hiccup where the software will reset, but this is normally blamed on internet traffic. It is recommended that you have at least 2 ISP's in case one has a major outage. Outages solely due to MBT are few and far between, though we did have one this week that was a bug in the SQL server, reportedly fixed now.

There are a lot of other firms out there that provide the same service and use the same software. As I have only used MBT it would not be fair to comment on which one is best. It may however be a good idea to choose one of the bigger firms so as to avoid a shutdown or bankruptcy situation in the future.

I'll just add that I haven't had any problems with Lvl 2 data being slow recently. If you enter an order it shows up on Lvl 2 within 1 or 2 secs, but I tend not to trade the really volatile movers. Any comments Dell, Yahoo MB traders ??

Regards

Bill
