Congratulations and a yeha, Jim! I think anyone who can figure out how to make a profit in THIS market deserves congratulations.

So far as the notion that "Short sellers have always been held in contempt due to the perception that their profits were taken off of the hard work of others" - well, that's BS. Before I had the wherewithal to invest in the market, that's what I thought about all those who made money in the market (didn't even know what a "short" was :-) What "hard work" does any investor do? DD, of course - and as much DD goes into knowing what makes a good short and when the time is right to trade it short, as there is in a good long investment. So there are plenty of "perceptions" to go around.

Full disclosure: currently SHORT REXI, and made good $$ today riding LCOS up and down, long and short several times - oh, and don't let me forget my PSFT short from earlier in the week, that was worth a few too! Also LONG APCO for a long time. Bought more today at 5 7/8 - does that make me a bad person for getting it so cheap, when others paid so much more?

Good trading to all - short or long!
