UI,

I agree with some of what you said but you are way off base with comparisons of AFCI to BBTK. BBTK was never more than a story. They never had significant sales, never made a penny (in fact they lost million of dollars quarter after quarter). Check the numbers they are still around. AFCI has sold lots of product, shown tremendous sales and earnings growth but has recently lost all credibility and respect amongst investors large and small because they overstated their prospects. The great times had to end for AFCI unless they cracked an RBOC market (check my posts #5, 10 & 18 way back at the beginning of this thread). The DLC market is just not big enough to sustain the growth rate for AFCI without sales into a new market (i.e. RBOCs). It will take time to recover. The company still has a great product that dominates the DLC market for Independent telephone companies in the US. They also do well overseas but until things improve overseas it may be rough going.

BTW, I think AFCI is low risk at this level with a long term view (I have a small, long position at an average of $5.50).
