Hmmmm. That's nice, Alex. I remain a grub virgin. Vestal, probably. I think by now everyone around here must have their own picture of your working environment. If only ~ well, the picture I get...... part of it has a spinning stool in front of a puter on a blacktop lab island, with Windows of chem structures like fractals, a shrunken SI window, some nearby food item, no Post-its here on this monitor, an opposite bank of windows, up to six co-workers in this lab on various shifts, a bulletin board, a bunch of mechanical/bio test equipment (duh), a cutout of Homer Simpson, picture of Helene y Mama, copy of Car and Driver tucked somewhere, notebooks what get checked and notarized time to time, a bunch of color-correct fluorescent light, a refrigerator with stuff and some Cokes, a stainless double or triple sink, color-coded hazard warnings, shelves with butt-ugly binder ends, one-to-none organic objects like flowers I'm guessing none, keys in drawers or on the wall to other stuff, an electron scope, and a bunch of flip-lid disposables containers.

What's it really look like?

Oh ~ And Alex is given discrete and team assignments, goes to meetings, but remains relatively un-soopered, which he just loves, as sometimes it's mostly watch and monitor and wait, and this way he can help maintain his creativity and sanity by jumping on SI, his unseen friend.
