What is your time frame for your system? My biggest concern is KOT in the NT OS. I
have never tried it. NT looks at hardware a little different than Win95/98. I have
been looking for an excuse to load NT on my home machine.

My time frame is expanding as we speak :-) if I can put the order in by no later than Thanksgiving I'll be OK. I would obviously be very interested in hearing how your KOT setup runs under NT.

As you know, my current machine is Macintosh= SCSI. The additions of a tape drive and Jaz couldn't have been easier although I had conflicts with a scanner.

I like the targeting of performance and reliability here so for now I will plan on the Scsi/Ide mix ....which leads into ANOTHER... area of research for me.....the SCSI Adapter w/ boot target ID select.

What about a SCSI primary and an IDE KOT?
I like the idea. I think it will work but that does not mean it will. One needs to verify that the mobo bios has an option to select between IDE and SCSI. Most new mobo's have this option

Agreed. It should work but a little harder to setup and switch around. I had a system like this and OS/2 BM will boot Os's or either interface with ease. This may help normal use. I have my SCSI setup to boot off of CDR. I would have to change both System BIOS and SCSI BIOS settings to boot a SCSI HD. this may confuse some folks.

Shouldn't be a problem. I use Drive image all the time with NT.
using a Jaz Disk as the KOT Device.
