Paul/Michael,

Take a look at Europe, very highly educated societies, overall. The
problem is that everyone is virtually "educationally" equal which
means that no one really has an edge when competing for a job. I once
knew a PhD in Nuclear Physics who spoke 7 languages who couldn't find
a job in his field. He was working as a field service engineer on
semi equipment, over educated for the job requirements but had to
eat and pay his bills, he had no edge on the competition. There needs
to be a balanced educated society such that job opportunities/
positions are available based on intelligence, drive, willingness to
work and excel in the workforce.
