Now that was the first well-reasoned post in about the last 50.

You gotta be kidding. The feller wrote:

it is very simple. whoever is bashing on yahoo on this thread is doing so for a reason. he/she is probably short or wants it to dip to get in!!

That is tar-brushing, which is quite a different thing from reason. People bash Yahoo for many reasons, including for the most simple one: the stock price can drop by half and still looked overvalued.
One-half I said? This company could be worth one-tenth of what it is worth right know and by almost any standard would be considered a success. I mean Filo&Yang would still be in my list of heroes after that.

Suppose you see a young fellow running at the college track, and he looks promising, so you tell your buddy next to you: "I'll bet this guy will make it to the olympics". You see him run a bit more, and feeling brave you say, "you know what, double or nothing that he'll be the first to run 100m in 9.5 seconds".

The current valuation of Yahoo is the equivalent of a bet that the young man will one day run the 100m in 7.5 seconds.

Don't be surprised then if people who hold no personal stake and had silently overheard the previous bets now chip in and say: "you on drugs or somethin'? "

They don't need to care much about the fellow, much less wish it ill, to say "no way he'll run in 7.5 seconds"...
