What do you suppose the ASND management team thinks of the past acquisitions that LU has made? I'll bet they have a good laugh every once in a while. How well do you suppose LU sales teams do against ASND, COMS, or CSCO? After seeing some of LU's less than brilliant moves do you think they'd want to work for/with the LU management team? Perhaps, but only if they can walk away comfortably too. Also, consider the problem of overlapping product lines. Maybe Mory cares about his people and would hate to see a fine working machine that he's put together get hacked in the merger process. More reason to hold out for a better price - for the employee stockholders too. Clare mentioned it - LU is likely an entirely different culture that could very well be stifling rather than progressive. Maybe ASND is better off by themselves for the moment - unless a very high premium is paid. Steve
