Thanks for the Netlux vs 3Com info... I'll take a look at current price situation and decide. Very clear and concise info. I think I'll leave the other choices (Intel, Linsys) alone and go either 3Com or Netlux

I'm curious though, do you know.... is the 3Com NiC chip proprietary?

Thanks also for your kind offer to assist...I think I'll take you up on that right away :-)... whats your preferance for SCIS adapter.. I think you use the Symbios, could have been someone else though. I haven't seen too much mention of Symbios on the message boards, mostly Adaptec (expensive) and Fireport(recommended price/performance). ZP gave me a bunch to check out since I believe, barring any complications arising with a SCSI/IDE drive mix under NT (your opinion here would also be very welcomed), I will go that route.
