GS said that the outlook of the economy has been considerably slowed down. That spooked the investor. That is why tech was hit hard today.

David, Greenspan said two things today. First, we should do well this year with respect to our economy. Second, next year will not be so good for our economy. Go figure. So, the markets tanked after giving some thought to Greenspan's comments.
