I agree with you that CIEN has no bottom in sight. It can go down below $5 a share. I have never seen a high-tech stock falling this fast: 90% so far in 3 months. This must be a Guiness World Record. But as people say: Today's closing price is today's fair value. I just wonder if this is another SHVA or NSCP. The only difference I see is that CIEN at least was approached by some suitors and the best way out for CIEN's shareholders or management or employees is probably a buyout.
