Washington Gas is now advertising their direct bill pay feature (contracted to CheckFree, of course) in very nice 30 second TV spots. I saw the commercial for the first time today in a local drop on CNN.

An older asian couple is spending quality time in a gorgeous, serene woods. Wonderful bird songs and wind sounds fill the air. No human voices at all. Then the words appear, "Wouldn't you rather be paying bills right now?"

I almost spewed my beer out my nose. Not that that isn't a regular occurance or anything, but still.

Bit.

CKFR down to 6 from around 10 in just a week on no
news. I have had 3 stocks like that before in the last
2 months. I end up selling them for under a buck. The
reason? Management lied or kept their mouths shut about
trouble. Does anyone know management well enough to
say they are being truthful in business prospects and
projections? I have lost big, including money others
have trusted me in this bear market. Then again If I
bail now, I won't recover what I have lost :)
