Steve, the acquisitions of Livingston, Yurie, and Prominet don't amount to much of LU's revenue of $30B. Probably less than 1%.

I think they bought these companies because they could do it cheaply, without pooling, and it at least gave them some presence in data networking. Kind of like a practice test for the sales force.

And if one happened to pay off, great. If not, well now the real end game has begun.
