ANALYSIS-Dollar could follow
footsteps of emerging currencies

This is an interesting argument. Other analysts have predicted that the so-called Big Bang in capital liberalization (see www.pei-intl.com) will lead to massive influx of funds (from the world's largest pension funds etc.) from Japan to the US starting already after New Year. It seems very likely that US gov't bonds will remain very attractive for Japanese investors; the fall in the stock market notwithstanding.

Japan could basically pull the plug on the US economy though. It's an interesting thought.
