Franz -

I agree with you. I often take positions in the same stock as Mrs. Payne as well, and I am sure she has gotten what she deserves this year and maybe a little more - I'm sure I have. I'm not sure what that has to do with investing, however.

Have you had spent much time researching REFR? I see that it is your number 2 favorite stock and that you like to daytrade. Do you consider REFR a good stock for daytrading or a longer term investment?

In October 1997 you mentioned that REFR was going to be another MSFT or AOL, but much more sound fundamentally. That is a very interesting opinion. Your comparison to the delayed windshield wiper patent also sounds interesting. Which REFR patent # covers the base SPD technology? I will be taking a look at some of the patents and my concern is that the older, original patents have now expired. This heighten the possibility that someone like GE (as you mentioned) would just make the product itself if the profit potential suddenly exploded.

Thanks for any feedback,

Jon

Franz, while it makes no sense to conclude that REFR is a good company because I have chosen to short it, I also initiated a short of REXI yesterday. So, perhaps you'd like to rush out an buy that issue. Better advice would be not to listen to anyone who sells stock tips of lousy companies and cheap burritos (made from stray dogs) on the NY sidewalk.
