Thank you, sandstuff.

But the important thing is that you've learned it now. And now you'll learn that your next lesson will be on how not to pull the trigger and sell TOO fast.

I also know that many a person has said that the way they have made their most money has been to get into a stock and hold it for the lonnggg term. I'm sure that's true for them...but I just haven't found it to be true yet...not on ANY stock...not Cendant...not Microsoft...not any of them.

I'm thinking more that maybe it's more true for sectors. In other words...once a sector has been beaten so badly to the ground (such as gold), then it might not be a bad thing to buy some of it and hold onto it and wait for the sector's cycle to change and begin to go up again. Sometimes one has to wait a long time for that to happen. But when it DOES happen...then good profits are there to be made.
