I suggest you read the notes from the Conference call. YHOO also said earnings growth will not continue at present pace next quarter and advertisers are down. They also barely made the whisper number. They were not the NASDAQs saviors. Now we have to wait for another one.

PS - Don't hold your breath

Lee

<Naz will be strong today>

Looks like we're having our semi annual "tech-wreck" on top
of the already ravaged market. Microsoft and Dell have not
yet fallen like the rest. Cisco and Lucent have taken their medicine.
Compaq has been slapped back to reality.

Don't think Yahoo with it's biscuit vapor earnings and a weak forward statement is gonna do it. I honestly think we have to wait until fourth quarter and indications of any pick up in earnings for first quarter to get a sustained snap back in the Nasdaq. We're hitting cyclical painful lows in semi's, networkers, disk drives, now PC's. So there are going to be some incredible opportunities after the hurricane has passed if you can keep your powder dry.

I think there will be another wave down that, if you are fully invested, will make your knees buckle, and your eyes pop out!

I'm looking forward to shorting it.

I reckon it will gap up and then sink big time. Maybe not tomorrow but fairly soon.

As you say you have experience from 86 on I'd be interested to hear what you were thinking just before the 87 crash.

4c of Yahoo's upside (out of 14.6c) was from interest income and a lower tax rate --- were those 4c included in street estimates of 10c? Thanks (assuming 114.5 mil shares O/S)
