Since I feel I have posted alot of my concerns about 3DFX I wanted to also post about a positive event. I was in Fry's last week looking at video cards and I saw a man returning 2 Creative Labs TnT cards. I took notice because that was the first time I had ever seen those boards and I did not know they were out yet. Five minutes later I saw a guy in the video card section of the store. He was looking at a bunch of cards and I heard him mention 3dfx to his friend. He looked confused so I am asked him what he was looking for and he said Banshee. I told him it was not out yet, as I had not seen it, but that the Voodoo2 cards would be just as fast. I also pointed out the TnT card in case he wanted a combo card. He replied that the TnT card was no good as his sons had said it must be 3DFX. At this point I realized that this was the guy I had just seen returning the 2 TnT cards. I told him the Voodoo2 cards were basically equivalent as long as he got a 12mg version so he grabbed two Diamond Monster2s and started to walk off. I asked him if he was going to put them both in a computer and run SLI, he replied "No I have two sons." 3DFX brand recognition in action. Eric
