the media.CNBC is going too far and others as well.Serious money
is being lost on paper as well as for real and the media is making
light of the situation. The boys on squawk box used to get my
attention but not now.

I don't receive CNBC, but I fully understand your sentiment. I also
find the superficial reporting in most of the media (excluding
perhaps the FT, WSJ) very annoying.

Anyway, today could be an interesting day again. Japan, Europe
falling sharply, Nasdaq on a steady decline, and SPX approaching
crash-signal levels again. Only the Dow is staying up. If this is
manipulation, it must be getting very expensive, since hedge funds
would know how to make money when it is clear that there is
intervention. According to the WSJ there have been huge inflows of
money yesterday into the Dow and SPX despite the fact the Dow ended
flat and SPX down significantly.
