I disagree - the downside of ARET have been addressed equal to upside here on board - The distinct difference is that all points are being addressed in a proactive way - rather than bash or hype. - whatever a situation is - only proactive forward looking are able to help resolve it. - Let me take an example of your world - Pilot see engines stopping - what does he do - a) cry we are going down - or - b) start active looking for ways to resolve the problem. Or do you have another way eg: "This is your captain speaking - if you look out the right side windows you will see that the engine is on fire - If you look out the left side windows you will see that engine is on fire too - If you look down at the sea, you will see a little yellow boat, That's were I am addressing you from - Thank you for flying Rosemary airlines" Yes a cheap shot - But it is the MO IMO.
