Pierre:

I think I saw treasury rates up this morning on Bloomberg. Even with the trashing of the dollar, these rates should be down in a state of real fear. In a few minutes the Yahoo numbers will appear and this will be more clear.

March versus December futures

For most of this morning, March SPX futures have been underpriced relative to December futures, sometimes they even traded at a discount (but that was during thin trading periods). It appears as if the March futures were driving the December futures down.

This either means that traders are long-term negative or that intervention attempts are concentrated on the December futures.

Both possibilities seem equally bearish to me.

Phil
