It looks like CSCO bottomed out, maybe Dell too.

It's a sad day, it's raining in NYC.

Hello, Long On Dell:

You've been repeatedly so encouraging and enlightening to me, perhaps I can reciprocate, on the other hand this may all be old hat to you:

Dell is around 44.00

Sell the shares you bot for more than 44, take the loss for 1998
Sell November 45 puts, I got 8 for them, they're more now.
Your effective sale price is 53.

If Dell drops the stock will be put to you at 45, but your actual cost is 45-8 = 37, and you own the stock again and can repeat.

If it goes up: sell higher puts and wait for them to be assigned, again at a savings.

Imagine: In Nov Dell is 55
Using the technique above you sold out for 53
Sell January 60 puts for around 13; effective price = 47 if assigned
Or keep the 13 to add to the 53 = 66

If Dell is 30 in Nov, the stock will be put to you for 45-8 = 37
Sell the stock at 30, lose 7
Sell the Jan 35 puts for about 10. Net gain about 3.
Or sell the May 35s for about 15; gain more.

etc, etc: Best wishes, Long On Dell!
