NETA's Business portal targets Netscape What about AOL?

AOL has 15 million customers. At $4 to $8 per month for tuning your PC, and only a 10% participation rate, AOL is potentially looking at a revenue increment of 72 to 144 million dollars per year. Moreover, subscribing to such a service will tend to keep users locked into AOL because they have come to rely on it. Will it license NETA's solution who is a direct competitor in the portal business? Very unlikely unless NETA gives the software to AOL at virtually no cost. So what is AOL likely to do? It's going to look for a competitor of NETA's to provide PC maintenance services. NETA by going to the net is going to force other vendors to scramble for similar services for their portal. And, more likely than not, this other vendor will be a competitor of NETA's.

This is just my speculation. And I have been wrong often.

Good Luck
