I agree DELL even at these valuations is still better than the others. Some on this thread have wondered whether there will be a slingshot effect for DELL when the markets are healthier. This has certainly been true in the past.

However, when stalwarts like AJ Cohen start to retrench there is little room to suppose that this economic downturn will correct anytime in the near future.

I got killed in DELL today (paper losses)but it is my ONLY stock holding ( I suppose that I have been a bear convert for the past two months). I converted all my portfolio to Bonds/Money Market funds in August. I am still a DELL believer (their growth, JIT/BTO and internet sales are truly redefining how to do business in the PC world.) However even the best get hammered and DELL is the best in the tech world. The reason INTC and others are holding is that their valuations have not been rising like DELL's over the last year. INTC is close to its bottom. If earnings in CPQ/INTC are not stellar (with attendant future projections) then look for them to fall further (and for DELL to take it even harder on the chin.
