The risk you didn't mention is the risk that would become evident if the relationship soured. What was originally seen as a consensual relationship could then be put forward as harassment.

But I would rather not condemn based on what might happen. That is poor decision making etc, Here is an example of what I am talking about . I have a customer that I am quite interested in [neither of us is married]But I know that while she is a customer it would be unwise for me to make any overtures No matter how receptive I believe she might be. I think that she understands this as well.But I have the option to wait until the job is over. If I didn't I might well take the chance.Sorry no list of rules by you or anyone else is going to run my love life for me. << wow I had hoped that we had advanced beyond this level as more and more women became managers>> Sorry I see no relevance in this statement .Clearly the subordinate in my scenario can be either male or female
