<< I believe that the driving force behind this attack on our democracy, is the Anti Family Planning, Anti Abortion rights religious right>>

The implication here is that ALL Republicans are driven either in total or primarily by the abortion issue. While I would agree that the driving force behind the hearings is to remove Clinton from office (as opposed to moral outrage over perjury, etc.), I don't agree that abortion is either the main or the only issue involved. The two parties differ on so many issues, affirmative action, welfare reform, the role of the federal government, tax policy, etc. I'll bet you could find far more votes where they on those issues than on the family planning one.

<<It's about the power of the Religious Right to overthrow a democratically elected President>>

Again, we disagree slightly. I do believe it is about weakening the power of the Democrats in general, but the RR couldn't do this without the support of the rest of their party or at least some Democrats. While the DRIVE may come from the RR, the majority of the action will not. It wouldn't play well. Also, much of the push is coming from the media (now there's a new twist!). They can't by any stretch of the imagination be included with the RR.
