All music to my ears - nice to know you concur. The other two I shorted, ACTU and IMGK, are weak IPO's which should be good for a bit more (though IMGK may have bottomed at 4). Wish I had gone ahead and shorted ALYD, too.

I added some YHOO and PVN today, just nibbled on each but the volatility means even a small position is returning a nice gain. For once my shorts are outrunning my long losers. And these microcaps don't snap back the way the momentum stocks do sometimes.

If you ever wander down to Sarajevo, dinner is on me.

John:

Yesterday afternoon I covered virtually all the stuff I had shorted on Wednesday, average decline was 14.4% It's really too bad I can't do that every day, eh? I'm loath to say this but when it's that "easy" to make money on the short side a turn must be at hand.

Don't know if you saw this...

dailynews.yahoo.com

It's a story about HAYZ declaring bankruptcy.

Another one bites the dust.
