I am not trading, have left too much money on the table that way. I am holding a well diversified portfolio of dogs [shorts] and riding the up and down. You have to do what works for you though.

The way to use short positions is to rack them up to 20% to 40% of your long portfolio as a hedge. IMHO, too risky most of the time to go all long or all short. I have never been that confident of myself.
