I'm not sure what your needs are.

I wanted to see if I could.....

(1) Have 1 7200rpm primary HDD and 1 5400rpm (or less) KOT Hdd

(2) Use IBM drives less than 9gig with the KOT being around three gigs larger than the primary.

I found no IBM IDE 7200rpm drives less than 9 or 10 gigs But there is an IBM SCSI drive thats 7200 and 4.5gigs...... Perfect size, speed, and manufacturer for my primary. I also felt OK about it being SCSI in reference to the other (cd-rw, tape, cd-rom) drives I will no doubt accumulate.

(3) As per ZPs specs for KOT configuration, I need (1) a mobo which permits boot drive selection, which the BH6 does (2) a mobo which permits choosing between SCSI and IDE boot drive, which I am currently trying to find out. (3) a SCSI controller with boot target ID selection which so far I've found only the Adaptec 2940.

I would rather find a less expensive alternative to the 2940. I'm not familiar with Fast Track but will look into it.

I also do not want to step away from a simple SCSI contoller card in order to achieve all of the above. I'm in over my head enough already <g>
