Compaq Customers Can Customize Systems with New Storage Options
Compaq Computer Corporation has announced new storage options for its commercial desktop PCs. Compaq Deskpro users can now customize their systems with four optical drive options: the Compaq DVD-ROM drive and MPEG-2 decoder, a 2X/2X/6X CD-RW drive, a CAV 32X Max CD-ROM drive, and Compaq's branded Slimline 24X Max CD-ROM drive. The DVD-ROM drive with decoder and CD-RW drive each add $399 to the basic PC price, while the 32X CD-ROM drive is priced at $138 and the Slimline 24X drive runs for $179.
