Ron: Report of multi-billion dollar bond float in PRC to support exporters.

SCMP or HK Std. Can't recall which.

Surprised me that they also settled w/ the PLA. Heir apparent, Hu Jintao, attempting to assert his authority by telling them the deal is for all of the enterprises, not just the scrap. I don't know whether that went down too well, chiming in like that.

This next succession might be a tough one.

I wonder how large of a sell-off there would be should Mr. Zhu all of a sudden not be there anymore? They better forget about Hu for a while and shed some light on what they have to back-up Zhu. Matter of fact, some complaining a little while ago by people who claimed they weren't seeing enough of Mr. Zhu. All of a sudden he's all over the press.

(Oh, Mr. Zhu-ooooo! Time for your daily stroll for the cameras.)

Guess they're saying now he'll visit here early next year. Probably not long after Spring Festival, when they devalue the renminbi.
