Thank you for the invitation to join in the Libertarian debate. Unfortunately I've been wasting my time debating more mainstream politics of late. I will give you and the Libertarians in general credit for your principles and honesty, even if I disagree on philosophy. I've enjoyed your discussions with Gerald Lampton on the other thread, I'm happy to see serious discussion on the matter, though lord knows I'm not taking the legal action seriously yet. On the other hand, the "Someone needs to put a strong restraining hand on these power lusting, statist bureaucrats before they they do more damage." line, along with the Chrysler car radio / revisionist history / politically naive software engineer Bill defense lines don't exactly add much. You may think antitrust unfair, but Microsoft is not the first to have to deal with it. Their defense strategy is quite innovative, though. Microsoft must be free to innovate, you know.

Sorry for misinterpreting the tone of your Packer jibe. After the Super Bowl last year, a bad game early in the season doesn't count for much.

Cheers, Dan.
