Cheryl, You didn't really answer the question as to why SUNW is down. You gave ample evidence for MSFT's decline. Some are legitimate.

I own both stocks, so I'm not anti SUNW.

Regards,
Bob

Let's see some numbers for this year's performance.

12/31/1997 Today % Changed
MSFT $64.625 $90 +39.3%
SUNW $39.875 $39.75 -0.3%
NSCP $24.375 $16.625 -31.8%
ORCL $22.3125 $23.4375 +5.0%
IBM $104.625 $119.3125 +14.4%
NOVL $7.5 $10.4375 +39.2% (Good job by Schmid?)

CSCO $37.167 $45.9375 +23.6%
INTC $70.25 $77.6875 +10.7%

The NOISE doesn't seem to do anything near the Wintel camp. SUNW goes a circle and comes back to where it started this year, good performance? Not!

What are you smoking, cheryl williamson?
