The folks over at StockSite described small stocks as "taking candy from a baby" back in mid-September.
stocksite.com

Unfortunately the Russell 2000 is down another 10% since then. Some of the stocks on my watch list have dropped 20-30% in the last week, and some of them are down another 10-15% so far today.

When good companies are getting pounded like that, I know my own pain tolerance well enough to know I'm better off on the sidelines.

<<So, am I the only one buying? And almost anything and everything?>>

Are you nuts?!!! Don't you know the world is coming to an end?!!! Don't you know that not only is bad news bad news, but good news is bad news too?!!! <G>

The thing I can't figure out is, back when the dollar was going up, everybody thought it was bad news, due to deleterious effects on Asian economies, fears of China devaluing, fears of competitive devaluations, inability of foreign companies to repay their dollar-denominated debts, semiconductor equipment becoming even more expensive expressed in foreign currencies, etc. Now that the dollar is going back down, this is somehow bad news, too. Huh???

Eugene,

For what it's worth: I picked up some PLAB today at around its 1996 low. Of course, with the world coming to an end I am betting we will still need masks to build the chips for the escape ships.<G>

Eugene, with $9B in the bank, Gen RE coming on line, and a PE of 22, isn't BRKB the best deal around?
