Does anyone know what is happening with this company?

On the surface it seems like cpq should be ready to take off given the inventory adjustments and dec integration are just about behind them heading into Q4. However, the trading pattern for this stock is just awful and much worse than other pc makers. Just look at how the others bounced from their lows today in almost a steady recovery. CPQ on the otherhand was near its day low with only about 20 minutes left in the day. This is because on any upmove at all, large block sellers would dump an incredible amount of shares on the bid. The minute any volume at all was bid, it was immediately filled. This is not a good sign and shows heavy institutional dumping even at these 52 week low levels.

Again, this pattern did not occur for dell, gtw, hpw or ibm today only cpq. This is not good, especially when you consider that if the dec merger will truely be accretive in Q4 then cpq should have earnings in the 35-40 cent range which would make it vastly undervalued versus its peers on both a p/e and price to sales basis.

I really want to believe things are alright but this trading pattern is not a good sign. It looks to me like a lot of institutional investors think cpq is experiencing problems with the dec integration and Q4 estimates are severly at risk...

can anyone help explain this...no it is not the overall market either..this is specific to cpq
