Interesting read on world economy, but not for the faint hearted or sensitive type:

When we come out of this recession, I think semis will lead it out. Luckily, for semis the obsolescence is built in. A factory is only good for 4 years or so. In year 5, no matter what the wafer cost is, just can't build the 'in' stuff anymore. And year 5 is right around with corner with sub-0.25um.
