Yes, you are right. Banks and brokers are screaming in pain. The mortgage securitization industry has shut down. Banks are stuck with negative spreads on a lot of what they are doing.

Credit crunch coming.

Horrible week. Never seen worse ...

Am I describing the screen in front of me?

No, I am describing the week before the crash in 1987,
when I saw all the same crazy things. I have not invoked
'87 in any of my writings before because I have always felt
that '87 was an aberration. I sold into the week before the
crash, at the urging of my wife, who said she did not see
enough capitulation from the mutual funds. She did not
see bid-wanted situations.

Same thing now. Same wife saying get out. Same
ugliness like you would not believe. And it was before the
crash.

Same feeling; same pit-of-my-stomach feeling
