Don't be suckered.... Gil, Fridays are traditional short covering days. Me, I covered my GTW puts when it recovered back to 39. I know that some silly buy program kicked in because the Dow went below 7500, the expected re-test of the Sep 1 low. It is only traders. The big AMZN rally I expected today was just delayed by 6 hours, it'll show up tomrrow. And I will be buying all the deep in the money puts I can. DocStone

Well, Gil, let's just say I was more or less slaughtered. My apology for the overconfident and frivolous post. I thought I gauged the market correctly in hoping for a sharp sell off last week. I guess the market has a way of frying the majority view even if it worked thru the person of Greenspan. Anyhow congrat for your astute observation about double bottom on 7400. I do like to ask whether you think we have seen the bottom for the year. Technicians like to talk about 39 week cycle bottoming around here. Do you think Oct 8th was it? To me, Oct 8th does not feel like a correction bottom despite heavy pessimism and subsequent sharp upturn. What is your overall market view now? I appreciate your inputs to AMZN thread. ----Very humbled AMZN permabear
